File Sharing life, part 2.
OH COME ON! I jsut downloaded a song labeled as "Weezer - Best freind's girlfreind (cars cover)". and you know what? IT WAS THE CARS!!!! GOD, come on, how DUMB do you have to be to label a song as a cover when it's by the original band? NOw I'm playing a "cover" of Earth Angel by Weezer. THIS IS THE PLATTERS!!!! GOD, what is this?! Just because a song sounds like a band doesn't mean it is by the band. You know, if THIS is the reason that Metallica really wanted to shut down Napster, then you know what? Godspeed to them on any future endevours in this thing. I'd even go inf or a PAY service jsut to make sure that i can get PROPERLY labeled songs, not this kind of stuff from nimrods. Someone needs to really go ina nd weed out these morons, i swear.
I know that this stuff is getting all pissy and stuff, but what do you want? I mena, I'm looking for stuff by a band. I would think that ANYONE would want the right stuff by said band. Honest mistakes I can see, like a misspelling of a title or something, the lyrical names of songs, ok, thats a real annoyance, but it's not as bad as labeling songs as being by one artist as a cover, and then having it turn out to be the ORIGINAL song by the original band. And this one isn't even labeled as being by the platters in the ID3 info, ti's labeled as being by BUDDY HOLLY!
Also missed out on a Weezer Yahoo broadcast. The whole thing. Damn.
